WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 9) – The Vulcans rallied from an early six-run deficit and scored the decisive three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning in a 11-10 win over Frostburg State on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Wild Things Park.

• The California (PA) baseball team improves to 20-8 overall while playing its first non-conference game since March 27.
• The Bobcats fall to 21-8 this season after playing their ninth game against a Pennsylvania State Athletic (PSAC) opponent.

• The Vulcans scored once in the bottom of the inning before the Bobcats countered with one run in the fourth.
• Cal tied the score at 7-7 in the bottom of the fourth after scoring six runs (all unearned) with two outs.
• Nuttridge, Rockacy and Carney collected back-to-back-to-back RBI singles before Collins delivered a bases-loaded triple.

Santino Marra followed with an RBI double in the bottom of the fourth.
• Frostburg State tallied a run in both the fifth and sixth innings to reclaim the lead by a 9-7 margin.
• The Vulcans scored on two-out RBI single by McTighe in the seventh and the Bobcats responded with one run in the eighth to hold a 10-8 lead.
• Cal posted the final lead change of the game in the bottom of the eighth by scoring three runs on four hits.
• Nuttridge scored on a fielder's choice before Marra drew a walk to load the bases.
• Rockacy tied the score at 10-10 after touching home on a sacrifice fly before junior

• Frostburg State senior Ethan Kiple (0-2), a two-time, consensus all-region selection, suffered the loss after surrendering three runs (all earned) on four hits in 1.0 inning of relief.
