WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 14) – The Vulcans rolled to a 9-0 win against nearby Washington & Jefferson, a NCAA Division III program, in non-conference play on Saturday morning.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The California (PA) tennis team improves to 7-10 this season while playing its fourth match against a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) member.
• The Presidents fall to 5-6 overall after playing their only dual match of the spring campaign.
• Cross-county schools Cal and W&J were meeting for the second time this season, as the Presidents previously earned a 4-3 victory at Roadman Park in the fall.
MATCH NOTES
• The Vulcans swept doubles play for the third time this year after winning just one match in the session against the Presidents in the fall.

Leandra Guldimann and junior
Maria Del Mar Ojeda posted their team-leading seventh doubles win with an 8-5 victory at the first position.

Bega Gotor tallied an 8-3 win at the second slot, while senior
Carmen Duran and
Lilli Schreiber earned an 8-2 victory at third doubles.
• Cal won all six singles matches for the first time this season on Sunday.
• Mungo registered a 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) victory at the first slot over Nidhi Pulicherla, who was an All-PAC First-Team selection in the fall.
• Schreiber tallied a 6-0, 6-1 win at the second position and Ojeda earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third singles.
• Gotor collected at 6-2, 7-5 victory at the fourth slot, while Duran finished with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the fifth position.
• Freshman
Peyton Reese recorded her first collegiate singles win by a 6-2, 6-2 count at the sixth slot.
