CALIFORNIA (March 19) – The California (PA) softball team announced wholesale changes to this week's schedule on Wednesday afternoon with the changes resulting in home doubleheaders on three-consecutive days this weekend.
The Vulcans were set to open play at Lilley Field tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20, with a twinbill against Pitt-Johnstown. However, the doubleheader against the Mountain Cats will now be played on Sunday, March 24, at 1 p.m.
Additionally, Cal was slated to travel to face Mercyhurst for a doubleheader in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Friday, March 22, before playing a twinbill at Slippery Rock on Saturday, March 23. The coaches have now since flipped the home/away dates set by the conference with Vulcans now hosting the Lakers on Friday at 2:30 p.m. and The Rock on Saturday at 1 p.m. Cal will then travel to face Mercyhurst on April 12 and play at Slippery Rock on April 13.

The Vulcans and Mountain Cats were originally set to open Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play with a twinbill tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19. However, the games have been shifted to Wednesday, March 20, starting at 2:30 p.m.
