CALIFORNIA (Feb. 28) – In a meeting of regionally-ranked teams, the Vulcans battled back from a 16-point deficit in the second half to claim a 61-60 victory over IUP on Wednesday evening at the Convocation Center in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.

• The California (PA) women's basketball team improves to 20-7 overall with a 15-6 mark in league play.
• The Crimson Hawks drop to 20-6 this season behind a 16-5 record in conference action.

Dejah Terrell collected her league-leading 11th double-double of the year.
• She finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds (four offensive), three assists, two blocks and two steals against the Crimson Hawks.
• Terrell also became the 29th player in school history to score 1,000 points on Wednesday.

Allycia Harris tied her season high of 22 points (20 second half) on 11-of-18 shooting, plus added nine rebounds (six offensive) and two assists in 37 minutes.

GAME ACTION
• The Vulcans opened the game on a 7-2 run with 4:56 left in the first quarter.
• IUP scored eight of the next 10 points to take a 10-9 lead at the end of the quarter with Terrell accounting for all nine points.
• The Crimson Hawks mounted a 20-4 rally over the final 6:55 of the second quarter to take a 34-19 lead at the break.
• Cal was held to just 4-of-17 shooting (23.5 percent) in the second quarter, while IUP converted 69.2 percent (9-of-13) from the floor to take a 15-point halftime lead.
• IUP lead by as many as 16 points, 43-27, with 6:41 left in the third quarter.
• The Vulcans mounted an 11-1 run over the next four minutes to cut the deficit to 44-38 at the 1:59-mark.
• Cal made a three-pointer in the final seconds of the third quarter to spark a 12-4 rally to tie the score at 52-52 with 6:49 left to play.
• The Vulcans later posted a 9-2 run to claim a 61-56 lead with 1:01 remaining.
• IUP scored four points in a span of 13 seconds to cut the deficit to 61-60 with 37 seconds remaining.
• Cal finished the game shooting 39.1 percent (27-of-69) from the floor while only attempting nine free-throws.
• The Vulcans tallied 18 offensive rebounds and scored 20 second-chance points in the victory.
• Cal forced 21 turnovers on Wednesday, including seven in the fourth quarter.
• IUP senior Maria Cerro led the team with 17 points behind 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
