Jordyn Buchanan combined for 50 points on Saturday afternoon, as the Vulcans rolled to an 87-73 victory at Kutztown in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover play.
NOTES
• California (7-7, 2-4) earned its first win since Nov. 22 to snap a seven-game losing streak.
• Polak tied his career high with 27 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including 5-of-10 from beyond the arc.
• He also registered his first career double-double by tallying 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals on Saturday.
• Buchanan scored a season-high 23 points after going 7-of-13 from the floor behind 4-of-10 from long range.
• He added five rebounds, a season-high seven assists and two steals while playing 36 minutes in the win.
• Senior
Kadyn Hannah finished with 12 points, seven rebounds (three offensive) and two assists against the Golden Bears.
• Freshman
Duncan Moy collected 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and one block while tying his season high of 27 minutes.
• Classmate
Keondre DeShields scored 10 points in 15 minutes off the bench.
• The Vulcans scored 11-unanswered points early in the first half to take a 22-10 lead at the 11:46-mark.
• Cal led by as many as 14 points in the first half before Kutztown closed the half on an 11-2 run to cut the deficit to 41-40 at the break.
• The Vulcans mounted a 20-2 rally over six minutes in the second half to claim a 64-44 advantage with 11:42 left to play.
• Cal maintained a double-digit lead throughout the remainder of the game at Kutztown.
• The Vulcans finished the game with a .527 field-goal percentage (29-of-55), their second-best mark of the campaign.
• Cal also set season highs with 14 three-pointers made and 25 assists in the victory.

• The Vulcans are idle for two weeks before beginning PSAC West action on Jan. 4 against defending-league champion Gannon in Erie, Pennsylvania, at 3 p.m.
