D2CCA All-America Teams
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Dec. 18) – The California (PA) senior tandem of kicker
Anthony Beitko and offensive lineman
Jaheim Bassham were both selected to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-America Teams on Wednesday afternoon.
Beitko was voted a D2CCA First-Team All-American and Bassham was named a D2CCA Second-Team All-American. The Vulcans were one of only three teams in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) to feature at least one All-American from the organization. Overall, Super Region One totaled nine honorees on the two D2CCA All-America Teams.
A McKeesport product, Beitko received D2CCA All-America status for the second time in his career as he was tabbed a Second-Team All-American in 2021. He garnered his second All-America recognition this year after being tabbed an Associated Press (AP) First-Team All-American on Wednesday. Beitko closed his career as the most accurate kicker in school history with an .847 career field-goal percentage (50-of-59), second-best among active kickers in NCAA Division II. The 6-foot-0 senior is one of only five kickers in PSAC history with 50 career field-goals made after converting 12-of-16 attempts this season. Beitko finished the year ranked fourth in the league, and second among kickers, with 75 points after also making 39-of-40 PATS attempts.
Bassham earned All-America laurels for third time this post-season after also being chosen an AP First-Team All-American and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Second-Team All-American. He finished his career with 37 starts, second-most on the team, after starting all 13 games at center this year. Bassham started 23 games over the previous three seasons at left guard before shifting to center in 2024. The Cathedral Prep product helped the Vulcans average 27.3 points and 378.2 yards of total offense per game, while ranking among the top 10 in the country in third-down conversion percentage (.489, 86-of-176). Additionally, Bassham became the program's first national finalist for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Award in 15 years.
The Vulcans have boasted multiple honorees on the All-America Teams four times over the last 12 seasons with the last occurrence being in 2021. Beitko joins former running back Antoine Bagwell (2004-05) and defensive back Terrence Johnson (2008-09) as the only multi-time selections to the D2CCA All-America Teams in program history.
