CALIFORNIA (Dec. 14) – The Vulcans managed less than a .300 field-goal percentage on Saturday afternoon while dropping an 81-74 contest against Wilmington (Del.) at Hamer Hall in non-conference play.

• California (6-6) was playing in Hamer Hall due to winter graduation ceremonies being held at the Convocation Center.
• Sophomore
Dalman Alexander registered his second career double-double while setting career highs with 21 points and 15 rebounds (eight offensive).
• He converted 8-of-10 from the free-throw line and added two blocks and four steals over 37 minutes.
• Redshirt junior
Cam Polak finished with 20 points behind eight-of-eight from the charity stripe, seven rebounds and three assists on Saturday.
• Freshman
Jordyn Buchanan totaled 16 points and seven rebounds while playing 34 minutes.
• Senior
Kadyn Hannah collected 10 rebounds (four offensive) in his return to the starting lineup.
• Wilmington built a 20-point lead in the first half after mounting a 26-5 rally during which Cal was held without a field goal.
• The Vulcans later responded with a 17-3 run over four-plus minutes to cut the deficit to 44-38 with 38 seconds left before halftime.
• The Wildcats raced out to a 14-4 rally in the opening minutes of the second half to reclaim a 20-point lead, 64-44, with 12:37 left to play.
• Cal eventually trimmed the deficit to single digits in the final minute of play when it closed the game on a 12-5 run.
• The Vulcans finished the game shooting at just a 27.8 clip (20-of-72) after going 6-of-29 (20.7 percent) from long range.
• Cal held a 53-47 rebounding advantage behind 24 offensive rebounds.
• The Vulcans played their final non-conference game of the season on Saturday.
• Cal has played a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in three-consecutive years after facing Chestnut Hill the previous two campaigns.
