FAIRMONT, W.Va. (Nov. 18) – Facing the defending-Mountain East Conference (MEC) Champions, the Vulcans were dealt an 80-59 loss at preseason No. 7 Fairmont State on Monday evening in non-conference action.
NOTES
• California (3-2) played its final non-conference road game of the regular season.
• The Fighting Falcons captured their first MEC Championship last year and advanced to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Allycia Harris registered her second double-double of the season, as she finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds (five offensive) while playing 26 minutes due to foul trouble.
• Junior
Alicia Young led the team in scoring with 16 points and added four rebounds (three offensive) and two blocks.
• Sophomore
Kimaya Williams finished with 10 rebounds (five offensive) off the bench.
• Freshman
Trinity Balog scored 12 points in 25 minutes off the bench, both season highs.
• Fairmont State seized a 32-point halftime lead, 55-23, after shooting 56.8 percent (21-of-37) from the field in their home opener.
• The Vulcans limited the Fighting Falcons to nine field goals in the second half, as Cal scored 36 points following the break.
• Cal finished the team with a 49-37 rebounding advantage, including 19 offensive rebounds that led to 22 second-chance points.
