CALIFORNIA (Nov. 12) – The Vulcans were limited to just 20 points in the first half before suffering a 60-53 loss to Bowie State at the Convocation Center in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

• California (2-1) suffered its first home-opening loss since the 2013-14 campaign.

Allycia Harris recorded her first double-double this season with 11 points and 16 rebounds (seven offensive).

Alicia Young led the team in scoring for the third-straight game, finishing with 17 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Iyahnna Williams tallied 11 points and seven rebounds against the Bulldogs.
• The Vulcans were held to seven points in the second quarter and trailed by a 29-20 margin at halftime.
• Cal trailed by as many as 20 points in the opening minute of the fourth quarter after shooting just 10-of-47 (21.3 percent) from the field through three quarters.
• The Vulcans scored 23 points in the fourth quarter after going 8-of-12 from the floor.
• Bowie State finished the game going 22-of-27 from the free-throw line (81.5 percent).
