CALIFORNIA (Oct. 25) – The Vulcans began the second round of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play with a 3-1 loss (25-19, 25-18, 17-25, 26-24) against Clarion at the Convocation Center on Friday evening.
NOTES
• California (3-14, 0-8) has dropped nine of the last 10 meetings in the series with Clarion, which captured the 2023 Atlantic Regional Championship.

Allie Droneberger registered her fifth kill/dig double-double of the year with 10 kills and 14 digs.
• Freshman
Anna-Marie Petricevic tied for the team lead with 10 kills on Friday.
• Senior
Sophia Johnson collected eight kills on a .375 hitting percentage, while freshman
Courtney Smith added seven kills.
• Juniors
Mandy Altsman and
Adrianna Favata both recorded 17 assists in the match and Altsman totaled 15 digs for her first career assist/dig double-double.
• Junior
Caroline Mercer set a season high with 24 digs while being one of four players with double-digit digs.
• Johnson finished with five blocks and totaled 11.0 points against the Golden Eagles.
