Women's Soccer shutout in loss to IUP

Crimson Hawks remain unbeaten after six games this fall; Teams each tally three corner kicks

CALIFORNIA (Oct. 2) – The California (PA) women's soccer team fell by a 1-0 margin against IUP in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Wednesday evening at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.

NOTES
• The Vulcans (3-4-2, 2-3-1) played a second-straight unbeaten opponent and allowed just a single goal over the two games.
• The Crimson Hawks tallied the game-winning goal in the 20th minute with a shot from the middle of the box following a double assist.
• Cal placed its lone attempt on net in the 64th minute that led to a corner kick.
• Senior Emily Ouimet collected four saves while facing seven attempts in the contest.
• IUP finished with a 7-5 advantage in shots, while both teams totaled three corner kicks.

• Cal returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5, when it travels to face Slippery Rock in PSAC West play at 1 p.m.
