GREENSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 2) – The Vulcans played Seton Hill scoreless for 82-plus minutes before dropping a 1-0 road contest in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Wednesday afternoon.
NOTES
• California (2-4-2, 0-2) was playing its first divisional game since Sept. 15.
• The game was scoreless at the end of the first half despite the teams combining for 13 shot attempts.
• Seton Hill was awarded a penalty kick in the 73rd minute before sophomore
Kiernan Webb made a diving save on the attempt to keep the game scoreless.
• Webb made another save in the 83rd minute before the Griffins scored the game-winning goal on a rebound with the shot deflecting off the bottom right corner of the post before crossing the goal line.
• Webb set a season high with seven saves while facing 13 shots in the contest.
• Cal also established a season best with 13 shot attempts on Wednesday.
