CALIFORNIA (Jan. 24) – Led by four starters scoring in double-figures, the Vulcans captured an 89-86 overtime victory over Pitt-Johnstown at the Convocation Center in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Wednesday evening.

Dejah Terrell led the team with 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting while playing only 23 minutes due to foul trouble.

Iyahnna Williams both scored 19 points in the win while making their initial starts of the season.
• Bermudez finished with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals while playing all 45 minutes.

GAME ACTION
• The Vulcans started the game on a 10-3 run in the opening four-plus minutes.
• UPJ later mounted a 13-3 rally in a span of just over 90 seconds to take a 20-19 lead with 1:04 left in the first quarter.
• The teams combined for five lead changes in the second quarter.
• The Mountain Cats posted an 11-4 run over the final 4:18 of the quarter to take a 40-35 into halftime.
• The UPJ tandem of Peyton Alazaus and Cassidy Crawford combined for 30 points in the first half, while Bermudez led Cal with 12 points.
• The Vulcans scored eight of the opening 10 points in the third quarter to reclaim the lead by a 43-42 margin at the 8:16-mark.
• UPJ countered with a 12-3 run to seize a 56-48 advantage with 4:17 left in the quarter.
• Cal then responded with six-straight points before UPJ took a 58-54 lead at the end of the quarter.
• The Mountain Cats led by as many as seven points, 61-54, in the fourth quarter before the Vulcans regained the lead with 3:39 left in regulation.
• Cal and UPJ combined for eight points in the final 40 seconds with the Mountain Cats sending the game to overtime with a jumper in the final second.
• Terrell scored 15 points in the second half before fouling out with 2:54 left in the fourth quarter.
• The Vulcans registered the final lead change with 2:38 remaining in overtime.
• UPJ cut the deficit to a single point, 87-86, with nine seconds left to play after making just its second field goal in overtime.
