CLARION, Pa. (Jan. 17) – The California (PA) women's basketball team earned a tightly contested 66-62 overtime win at Clarion on Wednesday evening in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.

• Clarion scored seven-straight points midway through the first quarter to take an 11-7 lead at the 3:21-mark.
• The Vulcans scored the final points of the quarter, snapping a five-minute scoreless drought, to cut the deficit to an 11-9 margin.
• Cal posted an 8-3 run early in the second quarter to claim a 17-15 advantage with 4:45 left before halftime.
• The Vulcans scored six-straight points late in the quarter before taking a 29-28 lead at the break.
• The Golden Eagles scored six of eight points midway in the third quarter to take a 38-35 lead at the 5:22-mark.
• Cal later tallied six-consecutive points – all on free-throws – to reclaim the lead by a 43-40 margin with 2:22 remaining in the quarter.
• The Vulcans held a 45-42 lead at the end of the quarter before the Golden Eagles started the fourth quarter with six-unanswered points to seize a 48-45 lead with 8:35 left in regulation.

• The Vulcans posted a 5-2 run in overtime to take a 64-61 lead with 1:28 left to play before sealing the victory in the final seconds on a pair of free-throws, 66-62.
• Cal and Clarion combined for 23 lead changes and 14 ties in the contest with no lead being larger than four points.
