AMHERST, N.Y. (Sept. 9) – The California (PA) volleyball team claimed a 3-2 win (20-25, 25-23, 28-26, 18-25, 17-15) over Ohio Dominican during the final day of the Wildcat Den Classic presented by Ellicott Hotels on Saturday afternoon.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans improve to 5-1 overall this year behind four victories in five sets.
• Cal is off to its best start to a season since the 2018 campaign.
• The Vulcans finished the weekend in the Buffalo area with a 2-1 mark while playing teams from three different conferences.
• Cal and Ohio Dominican have played a pair of five-set matches in the last two weeks with the Vulcans winning both meetings.

Elisa Rugiero set career highs with 21 kills and 18 digs while hitting at a .447 clip and collecting three service aces.
• Rugiero has registered four kill/dig double-doubles this year.
