CALIFORNIA (Sept. 29) – The California (PA) volleyball team opened a four-match, two-week homestand with a 3-1 victory (25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-15) against Edinboro in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Friday evening.

• The Vulcans improve to 6-4 overall with a 1-2 mark in divisional action.
• The Fighting Scots fall to 6-6 this season while starting league play with a 1-1 record.
• Cal snapped a five-match losing streak in the series with Edinboro, while the Fighting Scots have won eight of the last 10 meetings.

Allie Droneberger tied her season high with 15 kills and posted double-digit kills for the seventh time this fall.

Alayja Floyd added seven kills.

Rachel Simon tallied 43 assists on Friday to mark her fourth 40-assist match of the season.

Tayla Pascoe set a career high with 17 digs and was one of four players with double-digit digs.
• Simon registered 14 digs for her fourth assist/dig double-double and Droneberger was credited with 15 digs for her fourth kill/dig double-double.

Emily Buwawa also posted 15 digs against the Fighting Scots.
• Floyd tied her season high of seven blocks and Rugiero added four blocks in the match.
