CALIFORNIA (Sept. 29) – The California (PA) volleyball team opened a four-match, two-week homestand with a 3-1 victory (25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-15) against Edinboro in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Friday evening.

RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans improve to 6-4 overall with a 1-2 mark in divisional action.
• The Fighting Scots fall to 6-6 this season while starting league play with a 1-1 record.
• Cal snapped a five-match losing streak in the series with Edinboro, while the Fighting Scots have won eight of the last 10 meetings.

NOTES
• Junior Allie Droneberger tied her season high with 15 kills and posted double-digit kills for the seventh time this fall.
• Sophomore Elisa Rugiero finished with 12 kills, while senior Alayja Floyd added seven kills.
• Junior Rachel Simon tallied 43 assists on Friday to mark her fourth 40-assist match of the season.
• Sophomore Tayla Pascoe set a career high with 17 digs and was one of four players with double-digit digs.
• Simon registered 14 digs for her fourth assist/dig double-double and Droneberger was credited with 15 digs for her fourth kill/dig double-double.
• Senior libero Emily Buwawa also posted 15 digs against the Fighting Scots.
• Floyd tied her season high of seven blocks and Rugiero added four blocks in the match.
