CALIFORNIA (Sept. 27) – The California (PA) men's soccer team scored a pair of goals in the opening five minutes of the second half on Wednesday evening to secure a 2-1 victory over Slippery Rock to open Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans improve to 3-4-1 this season while opening league play with a victory for the second time in three years.
• The Rock falls to 1-3-3 overall and remain winless this year on the road.
• Cal earned only its second win over Slippery Rock in the last decade on Wednesday (2-11-1).
