GREENSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 24) – The California (PA) tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in non-conference play at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans fall to 1-4 in dual matches this season, serving as the home in team in all five matches.
• The Bobcats were playing their first dual match of the fall.
• Cal and West Virginia Wesleyan have played in each of the last three years with the road team winning each time, all 6-1 scores.
MATCH NOTES
• The Bobcats secured the doubles point after earning a victory at all three positions.
• The Vulcans debuted new doubles pairings at both the first and second slots in the match.
• West Virginia Wesleyan claimed the match victory by winning five of the six matches in singles play.
