CALIFORNIA (Sept. 22) – The California (PA) volleyball team opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play with a 3-0 loss against IUP on Friday evening at the Convocation Center while playing its first home match in nearly three weeks.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans drop to 5-3 overall and start divisional play with a 0-1 mark.
• The Crimson Hawks extend their winning streak to seven matches and improve to 11-4 this season, including a 2-0 record in league action.
• IUP has won the last three meetings in the series after Cal had won four of the previous five matches.
NOTES

Elisa Rugiero led the team with 10 kills, marking her seventh match with double-digit kills this year.

Allie Droneberger and freshman
Sarah Stephenson added eight and six kills, respectively, on Friday.

Adrianna Favata registered an assist/dig double-double with 14 assists and 11 digs in her first extended action of the season.
• Senior
Emily Buwawa finished with a team-best 19 digs against IUP.
• The Crimson Hawks entered the match as the leader in NCAA Division II with 139.0 total blocks and tallied 10 blocks in the sweep.
