BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (Sept. 17) – The California (PA) men's soccer team dropped a 6-0 contest at West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans drop to 1-4-1 this season with a 0-3 mark on the road.
• The Bobcats improve to 4-1-1 overall, highlighted by a 2-1 victory over national-powerhouse and five-time, defending-MEC Champion Charleston.
• West Virginia Wesleyan extended its unbeaten streak in the series with Cal to six games with the streak starting in the 2017 season-opener.
GAME ACTION
• The game was scoreless until the 32nd minute before the Bobcats scored three times in a span of 10 minutes.
• WVWC senior Sinasi Emre Deniz scored twice in the first half, including on a penalty kick at the 41:02-mark.
• The Bobcats scored twice more in the initial 14 minutes of the second half with Deniz completing the hat trick in the 59th minute.
