LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (May 2) – The California (PA) softball team featured a trio of players selected to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Second-Team on Tuesday afternoon, as voted on by the league coaches.

Charity Henderson (Scottdale, Pa./Southmoreland), sophomore pitcher
Caleigh Rister (Bucyrus, Ohio/Bucyrus) and junior utility/pitcher
Alyssa Rose (Madison, Ohio/Madison) received the laurels after helping the Vulcans tie for third in the PSAC West standings.
A three-year starter, Henderson has nearly doubled her career high with 35 RBI while hitting at a .333 clip (48-for-144). She leads the team with four home runs while posting a .521 slugging percentage. Henderson totaled 23 RBI and finished with a .326 average (31-for-95) in conference play this spring.
Rister earned All-PSAC West status for the second-straight season after collecting first-team accolades at utility/pitcher in 2022. She leads the team in virtually every pitching category this year while establishing multiple career highs. Rister ranks fourth in the PSAC with a 1.82 ERA over 134.1 innings pitched while posting a 12-7 record in 25 appearances. The Ohio native has registered 95 strikeouts while logging 14 complete games, including three shutouts.
In her first year with the program, Rose has started games at left field (14), first base (seven) and designated player (six) in addition to the circle. At the plate, she has posted a .336 average (36-for-107) with 13 RBI and 21 runs scored. Rose led the team by hitting at a .393 clip (33-for-84) in conference play this spring. The Ohio native has also recorded a 2.65 ERA over 82.0 innings pitched while making 23 appearances (12 starts). Rose holds a 6-6 mark and has tallied 83 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .206 batting average.
Cal opens play in the PSAC Tournament tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. The Vulcans will face Bloomsburg at 10 a.m. before playing another game later in the day.
