Women's Basketball falls to Lock Haven, 69-58

Terrell scores season-high 24 points, records double-double; Bald Eagles lead PSAC East standings

CALIFORNIA (Dec. 19) – The No. 13 Vulcans trailed by just two points with 90 seconds remaining before suffering a 69-58 loss to Lock Haven in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover play on Tuesday evening at the Convocation Center.

RECORDS/SERIES
• The California (PA) women's basketball team falls to 8-2 this season behind a 6-1 mark at home.
• The Vulcans also move to 3-1 in league action after two sets of crossover play.
• The Bald Eagles improve to 9-1 overall and lead the PSAC East standings with a 4-0 record.
• Lock Haven has won back-to-back games in the series after Cal previously won 31-consecutive meetings.

STATS
• Redshirt senior Dejah Terrell scored a season-high 24 points on 11-of-21 shooting with a pair of three-pointers.
• She also collected 13 rebounds (four offensive) for a second-straight double-double while playing a season-high 37 minutes.
• Junior Iyahnna Williams added 12 points on 5-of-11 from the floor in 18 minutes off the bench.
• Freshman Nina Shaw finished with four points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals while playing all 40 minutes.

GAME ACTION
• The Vulcans opened the game on a 9-2 run for their largest lead of the game with 6:32 left in the first quarter.
• Cal later held an 18-16 lead at the end of the first quarter while making 8-of-16 (50.0 percent) from the field.
• The Bald Eagles took their initial lead of the game at 26-25 with 4:44 remaining in the second quarter.
• Cal reclaimed a five-point lead later in the quarter and held a 33-30 advantage at the break.
• The Vulcans maintained the lead until the 2:34-mark of the third quarter and trailed by a 47-46 margin at the end of the quarter.
• Lock Haven held the lead for the majority of the fourth quarter with Cal tying the scoring at 56-56 with 3:26 left to play.
• The Vulcans trailed by a 60-58 margin until the 1:28-mark when the Bald Eagles converted a pair of free-throws to spark a 9-0 run to close the game.
• Cal finished the game shooting 38.7 percent (24-of-62) from the floor, including 2-of-11 (18.2 percent) from long range.
• The Bald Eagles made 23-of-32 attempts (71.9 percent) from the free-throw line while the Vulcans attempted just 12 free-throws.
• Sophomore Jenadia Jordan led Lock Haven with 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting.

• Cal is idle for over a week for Christmas before resuming PSAC Crossover action on Dec. 30 at Mansfield, starting at 1 p.m.
