CALIFORNIA (Nov. 12) – In a meeting of playoff teams from last year, the Vulcans led by nearly 30 points on Sunday afternoon before earning a 64-48 win over Charleston (W.Va.) at the Convocation Center during the final day of the MEC/PSAC Challenge.

• The California (PA) women's basketball team improves to 2-0 overall after defeating the top two teams in the preseason MEC poll this weekend.
• The Golden Eagles move to 1-1 this year while replacing a trio of All-MEC selections from last season.

Allycia Harris posted a double-double with team-highs of 15 points and 12 rebounds (five offensive).
• She shot 5-of-10 from the floor and five-of-six from the free-throw line while playing 25 minutes.

Iyahnna Williams tallied 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals off the bench.
• Sophomore
Alicia Young added eight points and four rebounds, while freshman
Nina Shaw collected six steals and three assists in a team-high 30 minutes.
