CALIFORNIA (Oct. 7) – The Vulcans played their eighth five-set match of the season on Saturday afternoon while falling by a 3-2 margin (25-18, 24-26, 18-25, 25-18, 15-10) against Seton Hill at the Convocation Center in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The California (PA) volleyball team falls to 6-7 this season behind a 1-5 record in league play.
• The Griffins improve to 8-10 overall with a 2-4 mark in conference action.
• Seton Hill has won 10 of the last 13 matches in the series dating back to the 2017 campaign.

Elisa Rugiero paced the team with 16 kills while hitting at an impressive .452 clip.
• She has already eclipsed her kill total from last season in six less matches and is averaging 2.84 kills per set in 2023.

Sophia Johnson set a career high with 11 kills and freshman Sara Stephenson finished with eight kills and five service aces.

Adrianna Favata established a season high with 24 assists and tallied 10 digs for an assist/dig double-double.
