CLARION, Pa. (Oct. 13) – Facing the top team in the divisional standings, the California (PA) volleyball team was swept by a 3-0 count (25-22, 25-16, 25-22) at Clarion in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play on Friday evening.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans drop to 6-8 overall with a 1-6 mark in divisional action.
• The Golden Eagles extended their winning streak to seven matches and sit at 17-2 this season behind a 7-0 mark in league play.
• Clarion has won six of the last seven matches against Cal and has won four of the last five matches in the series at Tippin Gymnasium dating back to 2017.

• Sophomore
Elisa Rugiero led the team with 14 kills on a .233 hitting percentage.
• She has collected double-digit kills 12 times this season and has registered a combed 44 kills over the last three matches.

Allie Droneberger finished with six kills and senior
Alayja Floyd added three kills and four blocks.
• Sophomore
Adrianna Favata and junior
Rachel Simon posted 13 and 10 assists, respectively, while guiding the offense.
• Senior
Emily Buwawa recorded a team-high 14 digs in the losing effort.
