SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (Oct. 28) – In its final road game of the season, the California (PA) women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss at Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The Vulcans fall to 2-12-2 this season behind a 1-11-2 mark in league play.
• The Rock extended its winning streak to seven games and improves to 12-3-2 overall with an 11-2-2 record against divisional opponents.
• Slippery Rock posted its first win in the series since October 2021, as the teams have since played to a pair of scoreless ties and the Vulcans earned a road win last year.
GAME ACTION
• The Rock took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute on a goal by Libby Zacharyasz, her fourth goal of the year, off a double assist.
• Slippery Rock added an insurance goal at the 42:58-mark on a goal by Maddie DeLucio, her fifth of the fall.
