NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 13) – Led by four wins in the singles session, the Vulcans closed the fall portion of their schedule on Friday afternoon with a 5-4 victory at Westminster (Pa.) in non-conference play.
RECORDS/SERIES
• The California (PA) tennis team finished the fall season with a 3-4 mark in dual matches with Friday marking the lone road match of the fall.
• The Titans, a NCAA Division III program, fall to 9-5 this season and enter next week's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament as the fourth seed.
• The Vulcans and Titans have played four times since the 2015-16 campaign.
MATCH NOTES
• Cal posted a victory at first doubles with junior
Maria Del Mar Ojeda and sophomore
Diletta Maria Mungo earning an 8-4 victory.
• The Titans held a 2-1 advantage following the doubles session after earning wins at the second and third positions on Friday.
• The Vulcans secured the match victory with four wins in singles play with the match being decided at the sixth slot.

Carmen Duran opened the session with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the fourth position.
• Ojeda collected a 6-2, 6-2 win at second singles and Mungo posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the first slot.

Sierra Everett clinched the win on Friday with a 7-5, 7-5 victory at sixth singles, her first win of the fall.
•The match was originally scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 14, but was moved up due to the rain in the forecast.
NOTES
• Ojeda and Duran led the team this fall with five victories in doubles play.
• Mungo and Ojeda tied for the team lead with five victories in singles action with Mungo playing exclusively at the first position.
