CALIFORNIA (April 11) – The Vulcans held a 2-1 lead after two innings against Gannon in Game 1 of a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West doubleheader on Monday afternoon before play was suspended due to rainfall and field conditions.

Caleigh Rister (Bucyrus, Ohio/Bucyrus) opened the bottom of the first with a walk and scored on a double by freshman left fielder
Carlena Fiorilli (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) off the wall in left center.
In the second, sophomore second baseman
Salena Jaquay (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) scored on a wild pitch with the bases loaded. Following a strikeout, senior catcher
Brooke Wilson (Coraopolis, Pa./West Allegheny) reached on a hit by pitch to load the bases before a ground-out ended the inning.
Cal U is set to return to action on Wednesday, April 13, against Clarion at Lilley Field, starting at 2:30 p.m.
