CALIFORNIA (Sept. 17) – The Vulcans allowed the game-winning goal in the 81st minute on Saturday evening to suffer 2-1 loss against West Chester in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.
With its first loss of the season, the California University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team falls to 3-1-1 overall with a 1-1-1 league mark. Meanwhile, West Chester improves to 4-1-1 this season behind a 2-1-1 record in conference play.

Nathan Angelo (Harborcreek, Pa./Harbor Creek). The score remained tied until West Chester took the lead in the 81st minute when junior Max Adarkwah scored on a cross from a free kick.

Lucas Exner (Horstmar, Germany/Pascal-Gymnasium) made four saves while playing all 90 minutes in the loss.
Cal U out-shot West Chester by a 10-9 margin despite only placing two shots on target, while the Golden Rams held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Vulcans return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 21, when they host Cedarville (Ohio) in non-conference play at 7 p.m.
