EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (Oct.1) – The Vulcans scored the opening goal of the game before allowing two-unanswered goals, including the game-winner in the 60th minute, on Saturday afternoon in a 2-1 loss at East Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play.
With the loss, the California University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team falls to 5-3-1 overall with a 2-2-1 record in league action. Meanwhile, ESU improves to 5-3-1 this season behind a 3-2-1 mark in conference play.
The Vulcans took a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute when junior
Nathan Angelo (Harborcreek, Pa./Harbor Creek) scored off a header following a corner kick by sophomore
Ahmad Awadalla (Allentown, Pa./ Parkland). However, the Warriors answered less than a minute later on a penalty kick from Bradon Levano, his fourth goal of th year. ESU registered the game-winning goal by Irvin Zuzic off a cross from Levano at the 59:27-mark.

Lucas Exner (Horstmar, Germany/Pascal Gymnasium) tallied three saves while playing all 90 minutes. ESU goalkeeper Will Boerema also collected three saves to earn the win on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors finished with a 16-13 shot advantage after registering nine attempts in the second half, while Cal U held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. The teams were whistled for a combined 33 fouls.
Cal U returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 4, when it travels to face Wheeling Jesuit in non-conference play at 7:30 p.m.
