CALIFORNIA (Oct. 4) – Despite holding a one-goal lead at halftime, the California University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team dropped a 4-3 decision to Seton Hill in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play Saturday evening at Phillipsburg Soccer Facility.

With the loss, the Vulcans fall to 3-6-1 overall and 2-3-0 in league play. Meanwhile, the Griffins improve to 4-4-1 overall and 1-2-0 in conference action.

After allowing a goal in the sixth minute, Cal U evened the score with an 'own goal' at the 10:06-mark before freshman Djordje Babic (Datteln, Germany/Comenius Gymnasium) gave the Vulcans a 2-1 lead with his third goal of the season in the 34th minute. Seton Hill added three second-half goals to take a 4-2 lead before senior Chris Hunkele (Hampton, Pa./Hampton) scored in the final minute to trim the deficit to 4-3.

Senior goalkeeper Shane Donovan (Pipersville, Pa./Central Bucks East) made three saves while suffering the loss. Seton Hill goalkeeper Cameron Evans earned the win while making three saves.

The Vulcans return to action on Sunday, Oct. 12, when they travel to Davis & Elkins in non-conference play at 3 p.m.
