Daktronics All-Atlantic Region Teams (.pdf)
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. (May 18) – The California University of Pennsylvania softball team featured four selections, including three first-team honorees, on the Daktronics, Inc., Division II All-Atlantic Region Teams on Wednesday, as voted by the region's Sports Information Directors.

Julie Mackenzie (Mississauga, Ontario/Meadowvale), senior pitcher
Lauren Shaheen (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and junior outfielder
Amanda Wallace (Oakmont, Pa./Penn Hills). The trio is now eligible for Daktronics All-America honors. Cal U junior third baseman
Danielle Easton (Hanover, Pa./South Western) also earned second-team all-region honors. Each player was also recognized on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West First-Team earlier this month.
In her fourth year as a starter, Mackenzie is among the team leaders with a .352 average (51-for-145), 10 doubles and 11 stolen bases. She has also collected two triples, four homers, 26 RBI and 32 runs scored. After starting last season at second base, Mackenzie made 38 starts in the outfield this year and has posted 13 multi-hit games.
Shaheen has posted a banner season in her second year with the Cal U program, boasting a 19-4 record and 1.39 ERA. The PSAC West Pitcher of the Year, she ranks second in the conference in ERA and seventh in the league with 141 strikeouts. In 30 appearances (20 starts), Shaheen has tossed 12 complete games (six shutouts) this season and limited opponents to a .197 batting average (108-for-547).
Wallace leads the team and ranks eighth in the conference with a .406 average (56-for-138) and also is among the league leaders with a .491 on-base percentage. She has posted a career high with six homers and 36 RBI while starting all 49 games, including 34 starts in right field. A native of Oakmont, Pa., Wallace leads the team with 17 multi-hit games and is third on the team with 11 multi-RBI games.
Easton leads the team with 14 doubles and 47 RBI, while also hitting a career-high .391 (59-for-151) from primarily the second spot in the line-up. A three-year starter, she is among the conference leaders in RBI, runs scored (45), slugging percentage (.662), on-base percentage (.453) and total bases (100). In 10 post-season games this year, Easton leads the team with a .438 average (14-for-32) with four homers, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored.
The Vulcans (37-12) continue play in the NCAA Tournament when they travel to No. 6 Bloomsburg for a best-of-three series this weekend in the NCAA Super Regionals with the winner advancing to the College of World Series in St Joseph, Mo.
