Perozzi claimed the individual victory on Friday evening while the Vulcans opened the year with a dual-meet victory over IUP in the Coal Tin Cup, winning the event by a single point (28-29). She led the field by nearly 20 seconds with a time of 18 minutes, 47.6 seconds on her home course, which was set-up for a 4.88-kilometer race. Perozzi ran a pace of 6:18 per mile to earn her third career cross country race.
