Burns averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, as the Vulcans opened the year last weekend with a pair of victories against teams that qualified for the 2019 NCAA Tournament. She posted 19 points, four rebounds, seven assists and two steals on Friday in a 78-73 win over Charleston (W.Va.). The following day, Burns scored 21 points behind five-of-eight from long range and added four rebounds and two assists in an 81-80 victory against host West Liberty.
