Laforet opened the fall with four combined wins last week, as California earned dual victories against Frostburg State and Shippensburg. She tallied a pair of straight-set wins at fourth singles and registered two victories at second doubles. On Wednesday, Laforet posted a 6-3, 6-1 win in singles over the Bobcats at home to help the Vulcans start the year with a 6-1 victory. The sophomore from France then cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 singles victory on Friday evening in a 7-0 win at Shippensburg.
