Davis broke a nearly decade-old indoor school record and reached the NCAA provisional standard in the 60-meter dash on Friday at the Youngstown State Icebreaker. He posted a time of 6.78 seconds in the finals of the event to win the flight by two-hundredths of a second after placing fifth in the preliminaries. Davis eclipsed the school mark set at the 2015 PSAC Championships by five-hundredths of a second while competing for the first time since the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships. The South Carolina native also reached the PSAC-qualifying mark in the 200-meter dash and placed fourth in the event by crossing the finish line in 21.77 seconds.
