A former All-PSAC West pitcher with the Vulcans, Meghan Uher enters her second year as a volunteer assistant coach at Cal U in 2018.
Uher played two seasons with the Vulcans after initially starting her college career at Pitt-Greensburg. She posted a combined 24-5 record with a 2.20 ERA in nearly 185 innings while playing at Cal U. Uher earned All-AMCC laurels in both of her seasons at Pitt-Greensburg, as she recorded over 200 strikeouts in almost 200 innings.
As a junior in 2015, Uher helped the Vulcans repeat as PSAC Tournament Champions and advance to the NCAA National Championships for the first time since 1999. Cal U finished the year with a 43-13 overall record to mark the program’s winningest season in 15 years. She posted a 10-3 mark with a 2.37 ERA and 80 strikeouts over 25 appearances.
Uher earned All-PSAC West First-Team honors as a senior, as she set a career high with 14 victories while boasting a 2.02 ERA. She helped the Vulcans advance to the PSAC Championship by posting a 2-1 record in five appearances at the league tournament. Uher tossed nearly 95 innings in 2016 while making 25 appearances, including five complete games.
A native of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, Uher earned her bachelor’s degree in 2016 from Cal U in psychology. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree from Cal U in clinical mental health counseling.
