A veteran of the PSAC as both a player and coach, Dana Webb enters her first year as an assistant coach on the Cal U coaching staff.
Webb spent the past two-plus seasons as an assistant coach at Mercyhurst following a record-setting career as a second baseman at Edinboro from 2006-09.
At Mercyhurst, Webb worked alongside head coach Leanna Baker, a former college teammate, to help guide the Lakers to at least 15 wins each season. She helped mentor two-time All-PSAC West infielder Courtney Smith, who finished fourth in the league with a .400-plus batting average as a junior.
Webb finished her playing career at Edinboro ranked among the all-time leaders in virtually every offensive category. She totaled career school records of 33 homers and 135 RBI, while finishing second with 179 hits and 96 runs scored in her career.

She was also named the PSAC West Athlete of the Year that season after leading the league with a .448 batting average and a .948 slugging percentage, while ranking second with 17 homers and 59 RBI.
Webb served as an assistant coach at the Villa Maria Academy in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 2010 before serving as a volunteer coach at Mercyhurst the following season.
A native of Amherst, New York, Webb earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Edinboro in 2009. She later completed a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling in 2011 from Edinboro.
