Larry Wilson enters his 11th year at Cal U as the wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator.

Over the last seven seasons, Wilson has mentored four All-American and six 1,000-yard wide receivers. In 2008, All-American Marcel Pestano became the first player in 25 years to eclipse the mark before A.J. Jackson and Terrance Moore both accomplished the same feat the following year. Jackson set the single-season school records for receptions, yards and touchdowns as a senior. In 2011, Thomas Mayo ranked third in the country in receiving yards per game. Wilson has coached at least one All-PSAC West First-Team wide receiver in each of the last 10 years.

Wilson has also developed some of the top specialists in the PSAC. In 2007, kicker Tyler Lorenz was named an All-American after setting the school record for single-season and career field goals. Wilson coached All-PSAC West kicker Marc Domonkos and punter Derek Fiorenza in 2010. Last season, Andrew Cerett earned All-America honors after ranking among the national leaders in punting and Cody Nuzzo finished his career as the school's all-time leader in virtually every kicking category.

Prior to his time with the Vulcans, Wilson served as the head coach at Frazier High School, where he was an all-state wide receiver before playing three seasons at Slippery Rock. He graduated from Slippery Rock with a bachelor’s degree in sports management.

Wilson and his wife Kristin live in North Huntingdon, Pa., with their sons, Cooper and Camden.
