D’Monn Baker enters his seventh season on the Vulcans’ coaching staff, serving as the tight ends coach.
In recent years, he coached a group of tight ends led by Blake Williamson. A three-time All-PSAC West First-Team selection, Williamson set career highs in all three major receiving categories as a junior in 2011. Williamson finished his career with 91 receptions and nine touchdowns before playing in the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game this spring. Baker previously coached another All-PSAC West tight end in Cory Garver.
As a player at Cal U in 2006, Baker earned All-PSAC West Second-Team laurels after catching two touchdowns and serving as a blocker for former All-American running back Antoine Bagwell.
Prior to attending Cal U, Baker earned two letters at Bowling Green. In his two years at Bowling Green, the Falcons compiled a 17-6 record under then-head coach Urban Meyer, who eventually won the 2006 and 2008 National Championship at Florida.
Following his senior season, Baker played for Team USA, which won the gold medal in Japan at the 2007 World Championship.
