A starting defensive back last season, Chad Garnett enters his first season with the Cal U coaching staff and will be working with the secondary.
Garnett was a five-year member of the program from 2015-18 and started a combined nine games over the last two seasons. Last year, he tied his career high in tackles while starting seven games. Garnett helped the Vulcans make back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Playoffs as a sophomore and junior, while the program also captured the PSAC Championship in 2016.
A native of Pittsburgh, Garnett completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cal U in 2018 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration.
Garnett is the twin brother of redshirt senior defensive back Nigel Garnett.
