WHEELING, W.Va. (Sept. 12) – Facing one of the top teams in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) in recent years, the Vulcans captured a 3-0 win (25-9, 25-15, 25-15) against West Virginia State on Saturday afternoon during the final day of the Atlantic Region Crossover.
NOTES
• California (4-6) has won four of its last five matches following a 2-1 mark this weekend.
• The Yellow Jackets advanced to the finals of the MEC Tournament last year after winning the league title in 2024.
• Sophomore
Olivia Weiseman led the team with nine kills on a .333 hitting percentage.
• She added 13 digs, two service aces and two blocks to finish with 12.5 total points.

Abby Tucker both finished with seven kills in the win.
• Tucker also recorded six service aces and three blocks to amass 14.5 total points.
