ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla (March 12) – Playing with an altered singles lineup, the California (PA) tennis team dropped a 4-3 match against St. Thomas Aquinas (NY) while continuing its spring trip in Florida on Thursday afternoon.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (6-5) faced their second opponent this spring from the East Coast Conference (ECC).
• The Spartans won the doubles point after winning matches at the first and second positions.
• Cal earned a win by default at third doubles.
• The Vulcans opened the singles session with victories at the fifth and sixth slots.
• Freshman Sofia Rodrigurez collected a 6-0, 6-0 win at fifth singles and sophomore
Izabelle Heacox made her spring debut with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the sixth position.

Fernanda Sandoval Martinez later posted a 7-6, 7-6 win at the fourth slot.
