CALIFORNIA (Feb. 25) – The Vulcans clinched the second seed and a first-round bye in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament following a 78-60 win over No. 24 IUP in PSAC West action at the Convocation Center on Wednesday night.
NOTES
• California (19-7, 16-3) swept the season series with IUP for the second time in the last three years and won its third-straight home game in the series.
• The Vulcans captured their second win this season over a nationally-ranked opponent.
• Cal earned a first-round bye in next week's tournament and will host the quarterfinals on March 4.

Bryson Lucas registered his 10th double-double of the year with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
• He also added two assists, three blocks and two steals while playing all 40 minutes.
• Junior
Dalman Alexander led the team with 19 points on seven-of-nine shooting and also collected six rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
• Sophomore
Jordyn Buchanan finished with 18 points, six rebounds and two assists.
• Senior
Brayden Reynolds totaled nine points, seven rebounds and six assists.
• The Vulcans raced out to a 15-5 lead and later led by 12 points, 24-12, with 9:11 left in the first half.
• IUP countered with an 11-2 rally to trim the deficit to 26-23 at the 5:19-mark before Cal followed with a 10-2 run and later held a 36-28 lead at the break.
• The Vulcans posted a 22-7 rally behind four three-pointers early in the second half to build a 61-38 lead with 11:01 remaining.
• Cal later extended its advantage to 24 points and maintained a lead of at least 14 points for the rest of the contest.
• The Vulcans finished the game shooting 53.8 percent (28-of-52) from the floor, including a .650 clip (13-of-20) in the second half.
• Cal held a 38-37 rebounding advantage and was credited with 17 assists in the victory.

• The Vulcans close out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 28, when they host Slippery Rock on Senior Day at 3 p.m.
