CALIFORNIA (Feb. 14) – The California (PA) men's basketball team extended its home winning streak to 10 games with a 103-86 victory over Clarion on Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West play.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (17-6, 14-2) have won 16 of their last 18 games following their lone home loss of the season on Nov. 24.
• Redshirt junior
Bryson Lucas led all players with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting and added nine rebounds, three blocks and three steals.
• Redshirt sophomore
Antoine Arnett finished with 22 points behind 8-of-11 from the floor and four assists.
• Senior
Brayden Reynolds recorded 17 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in the win.
• Junior
Dalman Alexander scored 15 points, while sophomore
Jordyn Buchanan finished with 10 points, three rebounds and three steals.
• Cal posted a 17-6 run midway through the first half to build a 32-17 lead at the 10:29-mark.
• The Golden Eagles cut the deficit to seven points multiple times before the Vulcans took a 49-40 lead at the break.
• Clarion trailed by 10 points with 16:35 remaining before mounting a 16-7 rally to work the deficit to 64-63 at the 12:21-mark.
• The Golden Eagles briefly claimed the lead with 8:34 left to play before the Vulcans countered with a 22-7 run over six minutes to take a commanding 96-82 lead with 1:48 remaining.
• Cal shot a staggering 60.0 percent (36-of-60) from the floor and converted 27-of-37 (73.0 percent) from the free-throw line.
• The Vulcans finished with a 31-30 rebounding advantage and set a season high with 12 steals.
• Cal scored 58 points in the paint and recorded 20 fastbreak points in the victory.

• The Vulcans return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 18, when they travel to face Pitt-Johnstown at 7:30 p.m.
• Cal remains in second place in the PSAC West standings, one game out of the first place and one game ahead of third place.
