CALIFORNIA (Oct. 7) – The California (PA) women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie against Seton Hill in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Wednesday evening.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (1-7-4, 1-7-3) have played to a scoreless tie twice in their last four games.
• Cal has played to its most ties in a year since the 2014 campaign when it posted a 12-4-6 overall record.
• The Vulcans nearly took advantage of a free kick by sophomore
Casey Eaton in the sixth minute when a shot attempt was slightly blocked after the Griffins goalkeeper was issued a yellow card for using her hands outside the box.
• In the 22nd minute, Eaton again narrowly missed breaking the tie when her attempt hit off the crossbar.
• Cal finished the game with an 11-8 shot advantage after attempting eight shots in the first half.
• The Vulcans also held a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

Kaleigh Rexroad made a pair of saves while recording her second shutout of the year.

• Cal returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10, when it travels to face Gannon in Erie, Pennsylvania, at 1 p.m.
