CALIFORNIA (Oct. 3) – Playing their first home match in over a week, the Vulcans were dealt a 3-1 loss (25-15, 21-25, 25-15, 25-21) against Seton Hill on Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action at the Convocation Center.
NOTES
• California (7-11, 1-4) has lost nine-straight matches against Seton Hill, which is led by first-year head coach Cassidy Snider – a standout at Clarion from 2021-24.
• Sophomore
Olivia Weiseman led the team with 12 kills while setting a career high with 61 attempts.
• Junior
Lindsey Scammell finished with nine kills on a .348 hitting percentage, while junior
Lexi Muck and sophomore
Alayna Jones both added six kills.
• Freshman
Gracen Hartman recorded her first career assist/dig double-double with season highs of 20 assists and 13 digs.
• Classmate
Molly Smiddy collected 18 assists and nine digs against the Griffins.
• Junior
Tori Newton paced the team with 22 digs and Weiseman added 13 digs for a kill/dig double-double on Saturday.
• Weiseman also registered three blocks and two service aces.

• The Vulcans return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 6, when they travel to face Ohio Dominican in Columbus, Ohio, in non-conference play at 6 p.m.
