CALIFORNIA (Sept. 22) – With a decade of experience leading one of the top travel organizations in the Northeast Region and coaching experience at every NCAA level, Richele Hall was announced as the assistant coach for the California (PA) softball program on Monday morning.
Hall has served as president and recruiting coordinator, in addition to coach of multiple teams, for Team Pennsylvania Fastpitch since 2014. She previously was the head coach at Waynesburg for four seasons following stints at Rhode Island and Seton Hill.
"I'm very excited to bring Richele into the Vulcan family. She will bring a wealth of knowledge and a ton of energy to our program," said first-year head coach
Kristin Erb. "Her background with developing student-athletes to play at a high level will be extremely valuable."
Hall serves as a mentor and the recruiting coordinator for the entire Team Pennsylvania Fastpitch organization, as 175 athletes have signed scholarships to play with NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NAIA programs over the last decade. She is responsible for player development from 14U-18U and handles the design and execution of instructional for all teams and players. Hall leads all organizational fundraising activities for the organization that sponsors over 15 teams with ages ranging from 9U-18U.
"I'm grateful to Coach Erb and the search committee for the opportunity to be the assistant softball coach at Cal," said Hall. "I'm excited to help build a championship-level program and look forward to sharing my knowledge of the game with the student-athletes."
Hall was the head coach at Waynesburg, a NCAA Division III program in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), from 2015-18. She worked with five different All-PAC selections while with the Yellow Jackets, which ranked among the top three in the league in stolen bases per game in each of her last three seasons. In 2018, Rachel Skon became the program's first All-PAC catcher in a decade after she received All-PAC Honorable Mention at utility the previous spring.
A native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Hall started nearly 200 games in her collegiate career at Saint Francis in the Northeast Conference (NEC). She helped the Red Flash appear in the NEC Tournament as a senior, the program's first post-season appearance in six seasons.
Hall served as a graduate assistant at Seton Hill while the Griffins were members of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC). She then served as the assistant coach at Rhode Island in the Atlantic-10 Conference (A-10). The Rams ranked third in the league in batting average during the 2012 campaign.
She earned her bachelor's degree in sports administration with minors in business administration, management & psychology from Saint Francis in 2008. Hall then completed her master's degree from Seton Hill in 2010 in business administration with a specialization in management.
