CALIFORNIA (Sept. 13) – The California (PA) men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest against West Liberty after surrendering a pair of goals within a six-minute span late in the second half on Saturday afternoon at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility in non-conference action.

• The Vulcans (2-1) extended its scoreless streak to 257 minutes after opening the year with consecutive shutout victories.
• Cal pressured the net with four shots on goal in the initial 12 minutes of the contest before the teams entered the break in a scoreless tie.
• The Hilltoppers claimed a 1-0 lead in the 78th minute on the game-winning goal by Travis Scandalis.
• Both teams were then issued a yellow card over the next few minutes before West Liberty added to the lead at the 83:41-mark.

AJ Visco registered eight saves in the loss, which matched his combined total from the previous two games.
• West Liberty finished with a 15-7 shot advantage after attempting 10 shots in the second half, plus held a 10-6 edge in corner kicks.
