GREENSBURG, Pa. (April 9) – The California (PA) softball team dropped a pair of run-rule contests in a doubleheader versus Seton Hill in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action on Wednesday afternoon, falling by a 10-2 margin in Game 1 and an 8-0 count in Game 2.
NOTES
• The Vulcans (8-26, 5-9) served as the home team in the contests, as the games were moved from Lilley Field due to field conditions.
• Cal was also playing at the turf facility at Seton Hill for the second time in three days, as it split a doubleheader versus IUP on Monday.
• The Vulcans were shutout for the fifth time this season in Game 2 while being no-hit for the first time since the 2024 PFX Spring Games.
GAME 1
• Seton Hill scored multiple runs in three innings and benefited from five errors.
• The Griffins held a 5-0 lead midway through the third inning before the Vulcans scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the third.
• Seton Hill tallied five runs in the fourth on five hits and one error, 10-1.
• Cal scored on an infield single in the bottom of the fifth before the final out of the game was recorded at third base.

Amarah McCutcheon collected two hits and senior center fielder
Brianna Sersevic scored twice.
• Junior
Cheyenne Beayon (3-10) suffered the loss after surrendering seven runs (five earned) on eight hits in 3.1 innings (65 pitches).
GAME 2
• Seton Hill sophomore Lacey Lynn allowed just three base runners (all walks) in the no-hitter.
• The Griffins scored twice in the top of the third before leaving the bases loaded.
• Seton Hill added three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to earn the run-rule victory.
• Freshman
Makenna Curran (0-4) was saddled with the loss after allowing two runs (both earned) on two hits and one walk in 2.1 innings.

• The Vulcans are scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 11, when they travel to face Edinboro for a doubleheader in PSAC West play at 2 p.m.
